Indium phosphide monocrystal wafers are used in telecommunications and microwave equipment for components of fiber optic communication systems (FOCS), including DWDM lasers, vertically emitting lasers (VCSEL), diode pumped lasers, avalanche (APD) and PIN photodiodes, amplifiers, etc.

They are also used to manufacture high-power and high-speed semiconductor devices for fiber optics — HEMT, HBT, wireless and optical communication systems, automotive applications.
